Jackie Young
With more than 20 years of experience as an educator and therapist, Jackie specializes in helping parents interact compassionately and effectively with their children. Her training and experience is rooted in evidence based therapies with a focus on creating and maintaining authentic, healing relationships.
Jackie has advanced and intensive training in DBT and offers individualized coaching sessions for parents with children of all ages struggling with regulating intense emotions. She also runs DBT skills groups for parents, providing them with the skills and support to effectively manage parenting and family challenges. Jackie also provides individual evidence-based therapy for parents and adults who may not need the full structure of a comprehensive DBT Program.
Jackie has a passion for helping her clients access their own inner wisdom to create the life they desire. She strives to create a safe and sacred space for healing and growth.
A Mindfulness student of DBT treatment developer Dr. Marsha Linehan, Jackie leads a weekly mindfulness group for DBT professionals. She also provides supervision and consultation to other therapists.
A resident of Seattle since 2016, Jackie studied at Oberlin College (BA), The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Ashland University (MEd) and University of Dayton (MSEd). She has two young adult children.
